Anabel Weiland is a Costume Designer and Prop Artisan. She is originally from the Twin Cities where she discovered her love of theater. Anabel grew up in a theatre family who introduced her to everything from golden age musicals, to John Barton’s Playing Shakespeare. Anabel is a graduate of from Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of the Theatre Arts, where she earned her degree in Costume Design and a minor in Scenic Design. Anabel’s Costume Design credits include Webster’s Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, Upstream’s End of the World Cabaret. Scenic Design credits include Our Town, and The Last Days of Judas Iscariot. Props credits include Romeo and Juliet and American Idiot. Anabel is also an experienced Dresser and Wardrobe Supervisor where she has worked in both film and theatre. Wardrobe Supervisor credits include Mercury Film’s Greg’s Going to Rehab and with Tigerlion Art’s immersive production of The Buddha Prince. Anabel is also passionate about children’s theatre and introducing the next generation of theatre artists through providing a positive atmosphere for young artists to grow.
When she is not working in theatre you can find her working for various character companies where she performs as Party Princess or working as an Assistant Pre-school teacher. When she isn’t working Anabel enjoys drawing, painting, and spending time in nature.
